Several members of Astonish Results’ RFM Department have made a commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle by starting a weight loss competition!
Those that are participating in this competition include Kelly Donahue, Ellayna Ungureanu, Paul Rakotoarisoa, Mike Romanski, Joe Rachiele, Megan Knobbe, and Nick Atcheson!
The contest began on July 19, 2011 and will conclude on October 31, 2011. Over the next 104 days, those involved in the contest will have to find a way maintain their willpower and stay committed to whatever their weight loss strategy entails.
To join this competition, there was a $50 entrance fee. The prize is a $350 winner-take-all prize. The winner of the ‘RFM Weight Loss Competition’ will be determined by the highest overall percentage of body fat lost by Halloween.
Several people in the RFM Department have altered their daily schedules to make a positive change in their lifestyle.
Paul Rakotoarisoa is a great example of someone who is extremely dedicated to his new daily routine. He is very passionate about winning the competition and also reaching his weight loss goals! Since the beginning of the competition, he has changed his entire schedule! He has gotten into a consistent habit of rising early to begin his calisthenics program before his workday at Astonish. After his day at the office, he goes to Thai kickboxing classes.
“I want to get healthy and stay healthy,” Paul said. “This job is pretty stressful, and being overweight and out of shape adds to the risks of serious health problems.”
Those involved in this contest have also taken measures to adjust their daily diets in order to lose more weight. High carbohydrate foods, processed foods, red meats, and beverages high in sugar are being consumed only in moderation.
Lately, Mike Romanski has been making sure he has been eating healthier foods that are high in protein while eliminating unnecessary sugars and carbs from his diet. He has already lost 20 lbs. this year and he hopes to lose another 20 lbs. during this competition!
Much of Mike’s success can be attributed to the fact that he has been very conscientious about his daily calorie intake. He has completely cut out soda and bread from his diet. He has also made a great effort to remain in the 1800-2000 calorie range on a daily basis.
“I want to increase my sexiness ratio,” Mike said. “It’s ALREADY high but I can always go higher.”
As you can see, those that are participating in the ‘RFM Weight Loss Competition’ are very serious about not only reaching their weight loss goals, but also winning the competition, which will grant them bragging rights around the office along with a $350 prize!
Stay tuned for more updates on the ‘RFM Weight Loss Competition’ over the next few months!
